Badman Review - Home educators respond in song

Hi Everyone,

Some people may have heard about the Badman Review on Home Education. Well as a home educator I do not think the review was truthful at all. A complete waste of government money in my opinion. Anyway we are standing against it and some time ago lots of groups of home educators got together in different places and sang the song 'Another Brick in the Wall' but with different lyrics. Here is the final video.

Hi Everyone,

I haven't been on here for a long while so I am going to give you an update. Well, Aaron our dog broke his leg as you know and he had an operation to put a metal plate in. He then had another operation to take the metal plate out. His leg has not fully recovered because he will not leave it alone if it is not bandaged up. At last we have been able to take the bandage off and he will leave it alone!!

Well apart from that a lot of things have been happening. Earlier on in my blog I said that one of guinea pigs had died and now I have one left. So we have decided to get one or two rabbits, and we are going to see them tomorrow (Sat 26 Sept). I am so excited!!

Okay, we have chosen a black and white boy rabbit and we will be getting him in a week!! Any suggestions for names are welcome. We have decided a name and it is Pepper!!

I haven't been on here for a long time! Well here is the news. Before we came to India I took my grade 5 piano exam. My dad texted my mum and I to tell me that I had got a distinction!! 136. I am so happy.

STOP DISCRIMINATING AGAINST HOME EDUCATORS!

We have had enough 0f all the discrimination against Home educators. Ofsted and LA officers know NOTHING about HE. They have no right to come and inspect. All the reveiws that are coming out are PURE speculation. Thery are making the words up. I am so annoyed and angry about this situation. This is the last straw! Enough is Enough..... ;-(

Lots of tidying up to do!

Hi everyone,

My mum and I have been busy getting the house ready for some friends to come over for the weekend! They are coming today and we have been running around getting things ready, but for all the work we will have great fun spending time with them........ great to have friends. Gets us moving!

In the end they didn't come because two of them where ill. But still have a great weekend.

Thunderstorms and power cut :-(

We have had a good week of sunshine and belive it or not we had a huge thunderstorm, REALLY CLOSE, yesterday (7/06/09 sunday) and a power cut for about an hour. Well, well, well. It wasn't too good. I was scared about the noise the thunder made and I really thought the house was shaking and it probably was :-< Mum and dad looked after me and then I was okay. But what a sudden change in the wether. It was predicted though so I have nothing to complain about....

Lots of tears

Hi Everyone

My mum and I have had lots of tears today. One of my guinea pigs has died. We think she died overnight. We always knew she was the weaker one and she had suffered from two episodes of pneumonia. She had recovered from them well but her system was just a little bit weaker every time. We are so sad. I am going to make a video in memory of her. She is now at peace.

Summer is here!!

Hi Everyone.

I haven't been on here in a while so I thought I would post something!
Hooray, summer is here! We have been outside all day..... sunbathing and sleeping. It has been so hot and sunny! My mum got a gazebo yesterday (Friday 29/05/09) and we have loved sitting under it today! I hope the weather will stay like this.
